alignment

I think about alignment a lot when I'm in my yoga class.  I'm always thinking..am i doing this right, lately I think i've gone overboard and caused undue stress in my body.  It is a good reminder that sometimes you just need to relax and let it flow. :)

Here is to being mindful...not obsessive.

Your higher self- kindness

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

It is not always easy.  But there are many moments in our lives that we can choose to be kind.  There are too many moments of hate and that one small moment of kindness can make a difference.  Even being kind and letting someone know you are unable to help is an act of kindness.  This must not be confused with over extending yourself or always doing what others ask.  But to act with kindness and tap into your higher self, can only make the day a little brighter for everyone.

Slow Burn Yoga

Most people have heard of Bikram, Yin or even Vinyasa Flow yoga. However, many people are oblivious to Slow Burn Yoga. Probably because this type of yoga is a unique offering from Lifetime-The Healthy Way of Life Company. Many studios have a version of this format but its not quite the signature format that is gaining popularity at Lifetime.

Slow Burn Signature Format as described by LifePower Yoga:

From the slower progressive sequences, to the longer holding postures, the entire body and mind are brought into balance in this focused, intense yet calming class. It is a great option for newer students who may be nervous about trying yoga. You will be encouraged to explore all the benefits of each posture while finding the balance between challenge and release. This practice is typically accompanied by soothing/ ambient music. *for all levels

I invite you to try this format at Lifetime located in at 1700 Haggerty Road, Canton, MI
This and every Friday throughout the summer from 5:30-6:30 am in Studio 2

Namaste,

Kerrie
